The Royal Observatory’s elegant Octagon Room, situated in the historic Flamsteed House, is a very rare interior designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and was originally used for observing the stars. With soaring ceilings, 360 degree views across London, and a portrait of Charles II, it is an ideal setting for high-profile corporate dinners, receptions or intimate weddings. The Meridian Courtyard is a ideal for summer parties and also boasts breath-taking panoramic views. Guests can enjoy drinks standing on the Prime Meridian line, where the eastern and western hemispheres meet. If the Great British weather doesn’t allow for drinks outside, the Time and Longitude galleries make for an intriguing setting. These galleries depict mans search for longitude in order to navigate the seas, showcasing many iconic timekeeping pieces.
