Barber-Surgeons’ Hall
Barber-Surgeon’s Hall is an elegant and welcoming venue in the heart of the city offering wonderfully laid-out reception rooms that lead into the magnificent Great Hall. The Great Hall itself is flooded with natural light, bowed towards the west and dominated by a magnificent Holbein painting of Henry VIII uniting the Barbers’ and Surgeons’ Companies’ Hall.
The outside space offers a stunning terrace and a historic herb garden boasting the London Wall at its perimeter. The garden provides a beautiful backdrop from the terrace running the full length of the Great Hall.
A discrete yet absolutely central location, makes Barber-Surgeons’ Hall an ideal venue for conferences, seminars, briefings, receptions and more formal dining.
The Great Hall is a striking room, panelled with Japanese Oak and opening directly onto the Terrace. Lit with Waterford crystal chandeliers, flooded with natural light and bowed towards the West, the Hall is dominated by a magnificent Holbein painting of Henry VIII uniting the Barbers’ and Surgeons’ Companies in 1541/2.
Approached through the welcoming and elegant Foyer, the Reception Room is ideal as a breakout space, or as a reception room prior to lunch or dinner. The room can be used as a smaller, more intimate dining area.
The Court Room is perfectly suited for small-scale lunches, committee meetings, or to serve as a breakout space for The Great Hall.
The Charter Room is an intimate, book-lined anteroom adjacent to the Court Room. Ideal for meetings, smaller dinner parties or as a breakout space, the perfectly polished dining table seats up to 12 guests, and serves as an impressive centrepiece to the room.
