Conferences at Tobacco Dock

The Tobacco Dock was built in 1812 and as the name suggests it was originally a dock for wine and tobacco. Over the course of the following 200 years it was used for an array of different things, until 2012 when it was relaunched as one of London’s largest and most impressive event spaces.

The Tobacco Dock offers you a wonderful blend of a historically rich atmosphere with flexible high spec event spaces. There are 57 different spaces available across this vast venue (16,000m²) ranging from huge conference spaces to modern meeting rooms.

The Great Gallery is one of the largest capacity event spaces in London. At 1,178m² it can hold up to 1,470 guests theatre style for conferences. It is a stunning space that has retained many of the venue’s period details, such as exposed timber beams. But it has been updated and equipped with state of the art AV and lighting which includes advanced an advanced lighting rigging with 52 moving heads and sound system. You will also have use of their expert AV technicians to ensure a smooth and professional event. For breaks and lunch your guests will have access to the beautiful outdoor courtyard. This space is also perfect for post event networking events.

The Little Gallery is the second largest space at the Tobacco Dock and offers plenty of character. The gallery has a comprehensive AV set up, with a bespoke lighting system. Standing at 618m² there is plenty of space for up to 568 delegates.

Quayside 1 and 2 can be combined for a fantastic corporate event space. Quayside 1 is the 3rd largest space at the event and can accommodate up to 420 guests theatre style. This lovely space is flooded with light thanks to its large skylights, which are wonderfully complimented by exposed timber beams. You will have AV and lighting, as well as rigging to ensure a very professional event. Quayside 2 is located adjacent and works perfectly as a breakout space for meetings or workshops.

The East Mall offers you a stunning and airy space with plenty of natural light. Located on the first floor East Mall is comprised of the East Mall Square and 6 flexible spaces ranging from 68m² – 380m². Like the other space the East Mall still boasts many original industrial features, with exposed brick walls and wooden beams. The space is fully equipped with rigging, lighting and blackouts ready to be adapted to your event’s requirements. Perfect for conferences of up to 350 people.

The North Dock is made up of three interconnecting vaulted spaces. Providing a unique backdrop to your event the North Dock is a high-spec space that can hold 500 delegates for a conference.

The North Vaults are made up of 7 spaces that can be used separately or in combination. They are immensely characterful and brimming with original features, this versatile area is hugely atmospheric and a wonderful choice for events. The barrel ceilings and exposed brickwork provide the backdrop that are complimented by an impressive lighting and AV facilities. By combining all the spaces you can accommodate up to 370 guests.

The South Vaults are very similar to their Northern counterpart. Made up of 6 spaces you have a similar blank canvas space with the same barrel ceilings and exposed brickwork. The South Vaults are a great choice for smaller events of up to 175 theatre style.

The Dock Gallery is a self-contained event space, complete with private toilets and registration facilities. This is a highly versatile space equipped with all of the latest  AV technology including screen and projector, a PA system, lighting options and access to an in-house AV technician. At 600m² there is room for up to 250 guests theatre style.
