Exploring Space
Exploring Space is one of the Science Museum’s most popular attractions. This evocative gallery tells the fascinating story of human beings foray into space exploration and showcases satellites, probes, and actual space rockets.
An atmospheric and educational space, allows guests to find out how the Space Age started, with the launch of Sputnik 1, and explore how we’ve sent spacecrafts to other planets, walked on the Moon and peered into the heart of our galaxy. Dominating the room is the full-sized replica of the ‘Eagle’, the lander that took the astronauts Armstrong and Aldrin to the Moon in 1969. This out-of-this-world space is the ideal landing site for a drinks reception for up to 300 people.
